Welcome Josiah James Reyes

This Poem was written
for the Baby Shower
of Josiah James Reyes
May 3, 2008
Our church needed a secretary,
and an associate pastor, too.
We prayed and waited on the Lord,
to see what He would do.
God sent to us the Reyes Family,
and that day our church was blessed.
To those who ask, then trust God's choice,
He always sends His best.
They both display true dedication,
in everything they do.
Manifesting a precious spirit,
as Christian friends they're tried and true.
Steve wins as least one soul each day,
he displays such poise and grace.
Sandra beams with the love of God;
His joy shines on her face.
As a secretary she is excellent;
knowledge and experience she's utilized.
She's multi-talented and gifted too,
and very organized.
God blessed the Reyes with a little girl,
to delight her father and mother.
The family though was incomplete,
Lilianna needed a baby brother.
So Josiah James was born last Friday,
such a precious little boy.
At 7 lbs. and 15 oz.
he's 20 inches of pure joy.
Days ahead will bring great experiences,
as you help him become a man.
To know and love and live for Jesus,
is what the Lord has planned.
Daily let him hear you pray,
as you tuck him in each night.
Sing him songs about the Savior;
laugh often as you hold him tight.
Teach him early from the Bible,
that being born-again he must.
The Saviour he sees in his parents,
is the Jesus he'll one day trust.
God did not give Josiah James to you,
he's only here on loan.
He was created for God's glory
and for His pleasure alone.
And one day you must answer
for how you raised your son,
May God be very pleased that day
at what Josiah has become.
